ION-ZCM1 is Classified as a Small Molecule

The Ion Gel ZCM-25® has a unique aqueous ligand transport system (Hexa-Aqua), which gives it a unique ability to enter the ions into the cell.

Ion Gel ZCM-25® has been proven to support the wound healing process. Its active ingredient with high oxidative redox potential increases the antioxidant effects through the reduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS), decreases the healing time, reduces the pH, and provides antimicrobial effects for the prevention of infections.

Multiple tests carried out on the product support its antibacterial activity (including tests with multi-resistant strains), antiviral, antifungal, and antibiofilm.

ION-ZCM1 is in the small molecule class as an API considering the formula weight being 6416 mM within 70.87% water. The highly complex ligand system is well below nano; it is working at the atomic level. The individual components of the formula are part of the natural nutrient intakes required in the human biosystem.

ION-ZCM1 is designed for synergy, safety, and ionic delivery through all membranes and blood barriers.

A Ligand with free cationic metals is more bioavailable than a molecular complex of a metal and a salt. Water is one of the most bioavailable molecules having a molecular weight of 18.01 daltons. Cationic Hydrogen (H+) being the highest, which is another component in the ION-ZCM1 formula.

The chemical ligand system in ION-ZCM1 holds "free" cationic metals that move through membranes and distribute them in the microcirculatory system. In biochemistry, when one of the free cations in the formula bonds with an anion (O2- Oxidative Stress), the ligand becomes broken, diffusing the individual cations in the region for cellular delivery. Systemic regional movement occurs by natural polarity electron attraction, created from (450 mV of redox) bonding and reducing the radical oxidation.

In chemistry, an atomic mass unit (AMU), the symbol for the unit is u (unified atomic mass unit) or Da (Dalton). Each free metal cation in an ION ZCM-1 ligand holds its Dalton (atomic) weight individually at their known cationic AMU, Zinc (65.38 u), Copper (63.54 u), Magnesium (24.305 u), and Hydrogen (1.007 u).

Within the fields of molecular biology and pharmacology, a small molecule has a low molecular weight (< 900 daltons) organic compound that may regulate a biological process, with a size on the order of 1 nm. The cations in ION-ZCM1 have an extremely low Dalton supporting its high bioavailability.

Each of these highly studied free ions is in the Pharmacologic Class EPC per the FDA.
